A few words on the project…

Réseau Environnement and the International Office for water are launching Quebec’s first professional training portal: QUEBEC’EAU training.

 Background

With nearly 3% of the world’s freshwater resources, Quebec’s water management policy has evolved since 2012. Production, drinking water supply systems and the improvement of sanitation systems require the staff of companies in the water sector to constantly update their skills in order to incorporate the latest technologies and regulatory changes.

  French Expertise

Since its creation, the French National Water Training Centre (CNFME) of the the International Office for Water has proposed training programmes that meet the objective of enhancing the skills of the staffs involved in the treatment, conservation and management of water resources.

At the international level, the NWTC is exporting its know-how by participating in the creation of water training centres over the world (Poland, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Canada ...) and is an active member of INWTC (International Network of Water Training Centres).

  Strengths of project

The QUEBEC’EAU portal will enable Quebec water stakeholders (elected officials, government services, water service managers, engineers, technologists and operators) to find possible solutions to their training needs. It will allow water stakeholders to continually improve their skills in order to provide citizens with high-quality drinking water and sanitation services.
